In this small-series porcelain, Nana plays with the individual amorphous form. She creates each vessel with its own individual impulse, hence creating every object with its own characteristic. Each piece and set is therefore unique. All bowls have a natural, matt outer surface. Inner surfaces are either a glossy glaze or natural.
Ball, cone and asymmetry – a minimalistic and clear shape is characteristic for the design of the small and big porcelain vases. The series is available either entirely undecorated, or accentuated with small fine lines and prominent recesses. All vases have a glossy glaze on inner surfaces and natural outer surfaces with a satin finish; a clean, modern design with simplicity.
These small bowls handprinted with bright gold are proper eye-catchers! They come with a tender blossom decor or dashed around the rim and are available in two sizes. The bowls with the flower ornaments are shiny and transparently glazed inside, and have a natural and silky matt glaze outside. Those with the dashes around the rim have a nature silk matt finish – both at the inside and outside.
Each individual object with its crystalline glaze is a true one-off. Nobody can resist the visual charm of the evolved crystalline patterns. The manufacture is extremely challenging and barely be influenced. These vessels are to be considered as decorative objects.
Nana loves playing with different ceramic materials and experimenting with new techniques and shapes. These individual pieces are either produced by means of wheel thrown pottery, slip casting or even using the slab method. In this respect, the look and the feel of the surface finish of each individual piece is very important to Nana.
